BURGAW- The Burgaw Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is hard at work anticipating the return of the upcoming Christmas and holiday celebrations set for the months of November and December.
Christmas and holiday events will kick-off on Saturday, November 25th, at the 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and will conclude on Sunday, December 31st at the 5th Annual New Years Eve Blueberry Drop.
“We are excited for the return of our Christmas and holiday events here in Town and can’t wait to share in the fun with our residents and visitors,” said Cody Suggs, Burgaw Parks and Recreation Director. “This will be a perfect setting for memorable Christmas celebrations.”
Below is a complete list of upcoming Christmas and holiday events being sponsored by the Burgaw Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department.
Event details include:
The 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting: Saturday, November 25, 6:00 p.m., followed by the movie The Santa Clause. The movie will begin around 7:00 p.m.
The 75th Annual Burgaw Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 9, 5:30 p.m., Historic Downtown Burgaw, hosted by the Burgaw Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Burgaw. Entries for the parade should visit burgawnc.gov/parade to register.
Christmas on the Square: Saturday, December 16, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring vendors with handmade and handcrafted items. Food trucks will also be present at the event. Vendors can register at burgawnc.gov/Christmas.
The 5th Annual New Year’s Eve Blueberry Drop: Sunday, December 31, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., ringing in the New Year at 7:00 p.m.
